Our Application process – Your way into the team

On receipt ofyour application you will normally receive a confirmation of receipt within 2 working days. Now we ask you for a little patience: We need to check your documents and coordinate with the relevant technical contacts.

We will usually get back to you within a week. You are welcome to apply directly via our careers page, or alternatively by email to If we are convinced by your application, we will invite you to an interview .

Due to the current situation, we are initially conducting all talks digitally with our own tool STARFACE NEON. In the first interview, usually only the HR department is present at first. Here we clarify the first questions. Who your interview partners are in the second interview depends on the position. As a rule, however, these are representatives of the HR department as well as the department heads. Following the interview, there may be – depending on the department or position – a short application task and/or a first meeting in the team.

We want you to feel comfortable with us from the moment you sign your contract, even if your first day at work may still be a long way off. You are cordially invited to join us at our team events or corporate events. This then gives both sides a good opportunity to get to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere. 

From day one you are a full team member in the company and we welcome you!

You will spend the first half of the day with the HR department in our onboarding event, before we take a tour of the site and then introduce you to your team. In addition to a competent contact person and the necessary work equipment, you will also receive an induction folder with all the important information.

In the coming weeks, there will be a comprehensive professional induction as well as a virtual departmental tour in which all departments will briefly introduce themselves. In addition, you will have the opportunity to get to know the management and ask questions over lunch in a small group.

Employee appraisals and regular development meetings are also part of our corporate culture. Feedback meetings with your head of department and HR take place after just eight weeks and after the first two and six months. This way we can ensure that you feel comfortable with us and that everything runs to everyone’s satisfaction.

Career at STARFACE – FAQ

Even though we live the “informal culture” in the company, we address candidates formally in the first interviews. Depending on the position, it is difficult for us to assess in advance how candidates would like to be addressed. Therefore, we choose respectful “formality”. Feel free to indicate if you feel more comfortable with informality in the conversation.

  • Information about earliest possible starting date & salary expectations
  • Curriculum vitae: meaningful, complete, chronological and sensibly structured
  • Application photo (optional)
  • Cover letter (optional): A meaningful CV is more important to us than a standardised cover letter. That is why you are welcome to apply for an advertised position without a cover letter, if you wish. In the following cases, however, we would still like to ask you for a cover letter in order to understand your motivation and motives for applying:
    • New professional challenge: If you are applying for a new professional challenge (e.g. you want to change your career) and your previous positions do not match the advertised position at first glance, a cover letter will help us to understand your motivation and reasons for applying.
    • Unsolicited applications: If you would like to submit an unsolicited application, we will need further information from you in addition to your CV in order to better assess which job best suits you, your interests, skills and experience. For this reason, we ask you to send us an informative cover letter for unsolicited applications. We will then also be happy to look around internally to see if we might still have a position in the pipeline that could suit you, even if it is not (yet) advertised.

If you arrive by car, you can use our parking garage. The entrance to the car park is not at Stephanienstraße 102, but at the intersecting Reinhold-Frank-Straße 48c. There is a bell with STARFACE lettering at the gate. Please use a parking space marked with STARFACE and leave the car park in the direction of the Viktoriahaus exit. There you will find the lifts to STARFACE.

We will reimburse the travel costs for your arrival and departure by public transport (2nd class) or by your own car (30 cents/km). Please therefore provide us with appropriate travel receipts. All other forms of travel must be arranged with the HR team in advance of the interview. We ask for your understanding.

Your application will be treated confidentially. We manage your application documents in a protected application manager system, to which only authorised persons have access. All data protection regulations, which you can view here, are adhered to.

Even in times of Corona, we diligently recruit employees. We place a lot of emphasis on looking after everyone’s health. That is why we react flexibly to the current situation and try to adapt our process. Currently, we are conducting the first talks with STARFACE NEON, our own video conferencing solution, and will only meet in person at a later date. Ultimately, both sides must always feel comfortable in the interview, so should we invite you personally and you feel uncomfortable in the current situation in a face-to-face interview, please just let us know.
