The New Era of AI‑Powered Telephony
With STARFACE 10, a new era of corporate communication begins. The new version of our UCC platform integrates powerful AI features directly into the phone system. The new STARFACE Hub now serves as the central cloud service platform for this purpose.
“It*s a Ten” stands for:
- Maximum innovation and future-proofing
- Maximum security through modern, secure authentication
- A redesigned administration interface for maximum efficiency
- Broad support for new devices
- Enhanced desktop and mobile apps for an optimal user experience
- And of course, the asterisk * simply has to be part of it
Communicate Even Better
While our last major release already offered possibilities for independently integrating AI functions, STARFACE 10 introduces AI services that can now be activated and used directly.
AI Summaries
The first of three new AI services makes it possible to generate a precise conversation summary at the push of a button, automatically enriched with relevant keywords (tags). This summary can be reviewed, edited, and supplemented with additional notes directly in the STARFACE app.
Tasks, decisions, and to-dos arising from phone calls can therefore be documented immediately. Consistent tags ensure quick findability and simplify call reporting. If needed, the full transcript can also be viewed.
Digital Assistance
The second AI highlight is the Digital Assistance, which automatically connects callers to the best-qualified contact person—without rigid menu structures or keypad entries. Callers can describe their concerns in natural language, enabling faster processing.
Smart Bot for STARFACE iQueue
The “iQueue” also receives AI support in the form of a smart bot. It greets callers, asks standardized questions, and collects important information such as customer number, request details, or callback preferences even before the actual conversation begins.
The new STARFACE Hub acts as the central cloud platform for all these services. Administrators can define precisely which users get access to which AI services.
Even More Security
STARFACE 10 uses OAuth to ensure maximum security in the communication infrastructure. OAuth authentication provides top-level security standards without compromising usability.
Even More Possibilities
- Further enhancements in the administration area with optimized configuration processes
- Introduction of the Light User option for cloud operation, ideal for users who exclusively use hardware phones, e.g., in industries like manufacturing, healthcare, or medical fields
- Improved device management and provisioning processes
Even More Freedom
STARFACE 10 also brings innovations to end device support. The new release supports, for example, the Snom Hospitality Series phones and the Gigaset P810 with zero-touch provisioning. Additionally, updated firmware is available for older Yealink models, which can therefore continue to be automatically provisioned in the cloud.
Even More Functionality
To fully leverage the power of STARFACE 10, users need strong apps. The STARFACE apps for Windows and macOS, as well as Android and iOS, have been further improved with this release. The desktop applications now place greater emphasis on our versatile widgets, which replace traditional function keys. There is also a new workspace for central access to and processing of AI‑generated transcripts.
A New Era
STARFACE 10 marks the beginning of a new era in telephony and unified communications in many ways. The introduction of the STARFACE Hub creates the foundation for future, scalable service expansions and the sustainable development of our UC platform, keeping it in tune with the times.
